Ron and daughter Lola
Ron is an animal lover, proud tree-hugger, writer and artist with over thirty years of experience writing screenplays, commercials and short fiction.
His mother was an artist, mostly dabbling in oils and acrylics and for about the last thirty years of her life she stopped painting. Ron pushed her to complete her work and to not squander her gift but she never returned to expressing herself through her art. When he was laid off from his job as a marketing manager, he had some time to think. and he realized he had fallen into the same black hole his mother did. Thinking his artwork was worthless and not having any confidence that it would resonate with anyone always stopped him, just as it did his mother. His wife challenged him to do something for himself and he made a decision to start drawing again. At first, he started drawing cartoons (which he swears will eventually make their way to the Keep Wagging site), then, as those characters developed stronger voices, they found their way to some of the designs for Keep Wagging.
One of Ron and Monique's goals was to pair the images with motivational and positive thoughts that would help counter act the wave of negativity worming its way through our society and culture. They believe that animals can teach us a great deal about life, if only we take the time to look a bit closer. They have found that they are not alone in their thinking.
